With a total area of 3,737 square miles, 73% of Monroe County Florida is
water. The "mainland" of Monroe County consists of over 86% of
the total land area of the county and is protected by the Everglades
National Park and Big
Cypress National Preserve.
The remaining 14% or so of Monroe County Florida's land area make up the Florida Keys. From Key Largo to Key West, Monroe County offer a Caribbean like atmosphere and is a vacationer's paradise. |
